We check the purity of the gold on a testing stone and test acid specially made for gold, in addition we check for hallmarks that are stamped in the gold. The weight, the purity and the gold price determine the value.

Gold bars are made by different manufacturers. London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) certified smelters are known and trusted. Their gold bars meet the highest quality requirements. This makes them the easiest bars to trade. Well-known brands include Umicore, Credit Suisse, Pamp, Valcambi and Heraeus. Gold bars are also always provided with hallmarks, making it easy to check the authenticity. These quality marks include weight, purity and even a serial number. Often a certificate of authenticity is also provided by the manufacturer.
